Streaming into the world with OBS

  1. Download and install the OBS-WebRTC client on your PC or Mac. You can download the latest version from the Dolby.io repository

  2. Open OBS and go to the settings panel.

  3. From the "Controls" menu, click on the Settings button to open the Settings panel.

  4. In the Settings panel, click on the "Stream" option.

  5. From the "Stream Type" dropdown, select "Millicast WebRTC Streaming Platform".

  6. Fill out the form with the Broadcast Info provided from the Publish Token you created.

    • To access this information, go to the Publish Tokens list in the Live Broadcast section of the Dolby.io dashboard.

    • Each token item has a quick action menu for easy access.

    • Open the management view by clicking the settings button from the items' quick action menu.

    • In the settings panel, click on the API tab.

    • Copy the Stream Name, and the Publishing Token, and add it to the corresponding fields on OBS.

  7. The Video Codec dropdown select VP8 or VP9, we recommend VP9. H264 is not supported

  8. Click "OK" to accept the changes, check your mic and camera, and then start your broadcast

Sharing your Screen

  1. To share your screen, you will need administrator level rights for your world

  2. Approach the screen and click on one of the two respective buttons

  3. For best audio sharing tab with a browser like Microsoft edge is recommended

  4. Sharing screen usually has less quality and frames per second vs sharing a tab
